Drug dealing/ drug use Concern Update Old Road, SE13 |
||
|
I wanted to provide an update regarding drug dealing / drug use, which some members around this area have highlighted as an issue of concern on the Met Engage priority survey.
Lee Green Safer Neighbourhood Team have been conducted regular patrols on Old Road, SE13 and Manor House Library following reports of Anti-Social-Behaviour and drug use in the area. On the 12th of January 2026 officers engaged with a male on Old Road who seemed to be under the influence of drugs. The Subject was detained for the purpose of a search under Section 23 of the Misuse of Drugs Act and class A drugs where found in his possession. The Subject has been arrested as a result and later charged in Lewisham Police Custody with possession of class A drugs. The Subject was also was issued with a Community Protection Warning addressing his anti-social behaviour. We are committed to tackling drug dealing wherever we find it. We will keep you updated on our efforts to do this in your area, but if you have any concerns or evidence, it is important you report this as soon as possible.
If you ever experience this issue or have information regarding an incident, please report it using our online reporting tools at https://www.met.police.uk/, speak to an operator in our Force Communications Room via our online web chat or call the non-emergency number 101.
Alternatively, you can stay 100% anonymous by contacting the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or via their untraceable online form at crimestoppers-uk.org.
We are working on our brand-new strategy for how we police London and we want your help. Our New Met for London: Phase 2 strategy will guide how we deliver on behalf of Londoners over the next three years. | ||
